Our Wildcrafter will introduce you to medicinal herbs that have been used to heal the mind, body, and spirit for millennia. On your stroll through the beds, you’ll pick fresh flowers and leaves to make a brew to sip along the way. Then you’ll combine your own array of dried herbs for a tea blend to take home.

Introducing Chef Wood’s Summer Catch from Fisherman Jerry, with garden zucchini, heirloom tomato, gnocchi, and fennel-basil olive oil. For vegetarians, it doesn’t get any more summer than the Morning Farmers Market Risotto with peas, grilled corn, sweet peppers, herb salad, and our signature herb chimichurri. CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING

WHAT'S THE BUZZ?

In this creative activity for children ages 3-7, we make a beeline for the River Ranch Lawn and step into the lives of The Ranch’s tiniest artisans—honeybees. Kids explore what it’s like to be a bee through a series of interactive and educational games. From body identification to swarming to pollination to honey production, your little one will fly away with an exciting new understanding of the amazing world of bees.

Thursday & Saturday; 10:00a-11:00a; $70; parents may leave their children in our care during the activity.

KIDS’ NIGHT OUT, WESTERN-STYLE

Calling all cowpokes, ages 2–12! Grab your bandana, put on your sheriff’s badge, and gather around the hay bales for some good old-fashioned western storytelling. A taste of old-time Carmel Valley for the kids while the parents enjoy grownup time! After listening to tales of the Wild West, we’ll mosey on back to the 21st century with dinner, movies, arts and crafts, air hockey, and more.

RANCH HANDS KIDS CAMP

Inviting all Junior Wranglers, ages 6–12! Join us for a fresh take on a Carmel Valley Ranch classic, brought to you by our talented and entertaining Kids Camp counselors. Each day includes educational play, outdoor adventure, and a signature activity such as hiking with the Naturalist, tennis with the Pro, a visit to the Apiary, or a stroll through the Organic Garden to visit our hens and nanny goats.

Daily; $105 for half-day (9:00a–2:00p), $125 for full-day (9:00a–5:00p); includes lunch for half- and full-day sessions.

BUSY BEES

Perfect for our youngest campers, ages 2–5. This program is available on an hourly basis and provides fun, educational indoor and outdoor activities. A parent must be available for a diaper change, if needed.
